Yoga Arts’ School History: Yoga Arts began with the birth of the 9 month Yoga Teacher Training in 1994. This training was then accredited, in 1999, as Australia’s first V.E.T.A.B (Australian Vocation and Educational Accreditation Board) Accredited Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training.
The Certificate IV was well known for its quantity of hours and high quality Yoga teachers, as well as, it’s comprehensive curriculum.
The Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training was offered through Yoga Arts for 10 years. The last one was completed in 2004. At the same time as the Cert IV trainings were being run, Yoga Arts was running shorter accredited Yoga teacher trainings that were held over 1 and 2 months, the 1st one being held in Bali in 2000. The 2000 Bali training was the first Yoga Teacher Training Course, offered from Australia, of its kind to be accredited with Yoga Alliance, the American based International Organization for Yoga training standardization.
