Venue: The Bali level 1 trainings are held in the picturesque hillside village of Ubud, Bali. The Yoga studio is located at the Santra Putra Yoga Shala, which also includes an Art Gallery & Guest House, in the Penestanan Village area of Ubud. Ubud has the perfect peaceful surroundings to allow students to go deeply inside and focus solely on their yoga practice. Ubud offers many excellent cafes and restaurants as well as money changing facilities, automatic teller machines (ATMs) and inexpensive massage and beauty spa treatments.
Not far away, you will find markets, shopping, museums and vibrant cultural performances.The beach is approximately an hour’s drive from Ubud. June through to August is winter in Bali and the climate is very pleasant but tropical. It can be slightly cool in the evenings. The climate is humid all year round and it can rain heavily at times, so be sure to bring wet weather gear.
Accommodation: Please book your accommodation ahead of time, making sure it is walking distance from the yoga shala.
Please find below a list of accommodation in the Penestanan area, all very close and convenient to the yoga studio. Yoga Arts’ students have stayed in these bungalows for many years so all the guest owners are familiar with Yoga Arts and the trainings. Please make your own booking for accommodation. We have provided email addresses where applicable and in some cases phone numbers only.
NOTE: Please be sure to book your accommodation well ahead of time as most guesthouses and bungalows in the Penestanan area of Ubud get fully booked especially around the times the trainings are on. If you would like to stay on- site at Santra Putra Guesthouse, where the yoga shala is located, please secure your place, well in advance, as it is very popular with our students and does fill up very quickly.
Please be aware that some guest house owners may not check their email very often so its is advisable to make a phone call if you are after a quick reply.

Visa Information: Yoga Arts is not affiliated with any one particular yoga teacher training school in Bali, therefore, it is best for students to apply for a ‘tourist visa’.
30 day visas are obtainable on entry to Bali (for most countries). If you want to stay longer than 30 days you can now extend your visa for an extra 30 days while you are in Bali. If you are unsure about your country of residence being able to get a visa on arrival in Bali, please make your own enquiries through your travel agent in plenty of time before you leave.
Please check your passport date. You must have six months validity remaining on your passport from the date of your return from Bali.
