Louisa Sear Yogarts Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Holiday Retreats

Louisa has dedicated her life to the practice and teaching of Yoga. She is passionate in the inquiry to find ones true nature and freedom.

In her teaching, Louisa encourages the understanding and acceptance of life, finding the teacher within and acknowledging the God in all. Louisa has had a committed Yoga practice for 30 years. She has studied many Yoga styles and has undertaken long periods of meditation with many different Yoga Masters. She teaches the principles of Tantric Advaita Philosophy and specializes in Yoga Teacher Trainings which she teaches all over the world.

Louisa is the Founder, Director and Course Coordinator of Yoga Arts. Louisa is deepening her study of Ayurveda by studying Clinical Ayurvedic Consultation at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies (AIAS) under the guidance of Dr Ajit (BSMS, PCAS).

Emil Wendel - Yogarts Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Holiday Retreats

Emil teaches yoga philosophy, meditation and pranayama on the Yoga Arts’ trainings. He has been living in Asia since the mid seventies, studying Indian thought as well as Chinese classical philosophy. His many years of residency in Nepal and India have brought about a passion for yoga, in particular, the aspects of breath and meditation in both the Buddhist and Hindu traditions. His courses offer a glimpse into the treasures of philosophy and their application in daily life as yoga practice and ritual, all in the original context.

LUCY ROBERTS: E-RYT 500
Asana, Vinyasa, Astanga, Techniques and Teaching Methodology, Moving Meditation Dance.

Lucy is a senior teacher on Yoga Arts Teacher Trainings, as well as leading classes, workshops, and retreats internationally.

Her teaching and practice attends to body, mind and heart, combining the physical practices of Hatha Yoga, with the wisdom and insight of Jnana Yoga, philosophy, and meditation, in the spirit of Bhakti – the Yoga of self-transcending love and devotion.

Lucy’s style is fluid, feminine, intuitive, and creative – inspired by her love of dance and free-style movement. She is a passionate communicator who delights in inspiring a deeper dive into the subtleties of life both on and off the mat.

Born in Australia, based in South India, Lucy teaches in Bali, Japan, India, Australia and the Middle East. She has been practicing for 16 years and teaching for 12.

ROSE BAUDIN:
Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Pranayama, Ritual, Mantra & Agni Hotra (fire ceremony)

Rose Baudin has studied and practiced yoga for 43 years and has taught for 25. She met her mentor, Swami Gauribala, in Sri Lanka in 1971 and was initiated into the Parampara 1984. During the 16 years she lived in India, she was instructed by master teachers in various schools of yoga: Integral, Iyengar, Vini and Astanga, as well as, extensive meditation experience under the guidance of S.N. Goenka (Vipassana), Zen Master Hogen-san Yamahata (Soto) and Sayadaw U Janaka (Satipatthana Insight Meditation). She was introduced to and taught the ritual of Agni Hotra by Dr. Robert Svoboda who instructed her in the way of his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda.

Since 1986, Rose has been based in Australia teaching yoga classes and meditation retreats. She is a senior teacher instructing and lecturing yoga philosophy and meditation for Yoga Arts – an Internationally Accredited School for Yoga Teacher Trainings. Rose has been conducting yoga intensives, residential retreats and seminars internationally for the past 20 years.

MARIE BAKER: E-RYT 500
Teaching and Assisting Asana, Vinyasa, Hatha and Teaching Techniques

Marie discovered yoga around 12 years ago when the urge to explore the deeper questions of life and spirit overwhelmed all else. Japa meditation and Mantra introduced the power of breath and of one pointed focus along with a new found joy and clarity. And so the passion to dedicate time to further exploration of yoga insured.

Marie began teaching 8 years ago and over the years has taught in Australia, India, Hong Kong, Bhutan, Japan, Bali and the Caribbean.

Marie completed 2 Yoga Arts’ Trainings, a 2 month Level 1 (200 hours Yoga Alliance) Yoga Teacher Training, in 2003, and she went on to complete the Yoga Arts’ Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training in 2004.

Marie has been teaching and assisting, for Yoga Arts, since 2006, in; India, Bali, Japan, Malaysia, India and China.

Her teaching style is Vinyasa Hatha with attention to mindful breath and movement through the holding and transitioning from pose to pose. Marie remains grateful and dedicated to the path as it provides a way to be open to the unfolding chapters of life; the opportunities to be present to life, and loved ones, growing towards ultimate peace.

TRISH PEACOCK: RYT 200
Yoga Assisting, Vinyasa & Hatha

Trish completed the Yoga Arts’ Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training in 2008 and is registered with Yoga Alliance for 200 hours (Reg ID 38596). Trish was a stand out participant. In addition to her Yoga training and assisting, on the Yoga Arts’ trainings, Trish also completed an Iyengar Intensive, in India, with Usha Devi and a further 200 Yoga hours with Sadi Nardini. Other workshops have included Acro Yoga, in Bali (with the Founders), Vinyasa Yoga and meditation workshops. Recently Trish completed a Partner Yoga Teacher Training with Sun Moon Yoga.

Trish’s experience in the health and wellness industry spans over nearly 20 years. She has completed certificates in; Hawaiian Temple Style Bodywork and Polynesian healing systems, ancient Polynesian Lomi Lomi, as well as, spiritual healing and release therapy, counseling and body awareness training. All of this training, and practice, has assisted Trish in her unique and intuitive approach to Yoga teaching and assisting. For the last 3 years Trish has been teaching 3 yoga classes a week, as well as, running beginners yoga courses and retreats. Trish has a passion for Bhakti yoga and loves to incorporate this path of yoga into her teachings with others.

Trish is a dedicated teacher and practitioner who has found her life’s purpose and loves nothing more than to spread the word of just how amazing this ancient practice truly is and just how relevant it is to modern life.

STUART GIRLING: Anatomy & Physiology


Stuart has a BSc in Health Studies and a MSc in Information Systems. He began his journey in health and fitness working as a personal trainer and then went on to qualify in Sports Massage & Injury Treatment , as well as, Advanced Medical Massage. For the last 7 years he has worked almost exclusively within the yoga community with yogis making up over 90% of his clients. Stuart has had a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practice for 9 years and an interest in anatomy that has spanned several decades. Having already taught Swedish Massage and associated anatomy his love for both yoga and anatomy led to the natural progression of teaching Anatomy & Physiology for Yoga Teacher Trainings. In this endeavour he seeks to make anatomy accessible, fun and above all usable within a yoga context.

CHRISTOPH KUMMER:

Christoph Kummer - Yogarts Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Holiday Retreats

Chris is a Yoga Anatomy Teacher and certified Naturopath. He began practicing yoga two decades ago and is also a qualified yoga teacher. His passion is to further the understanding of yoga, movement and health in the worldwide community. From 1988 to 1998 Chris studied nursing, Allopathic Medicine and Naturopathy in Germany and Australia. Chris’s approach to Anatomy is lively, entertaining and presented in a fun and comprehensible way. He refers to his teaching as “The Anatomy Show”! The teaching is based on the individual body and fits with a broad understanding complementing all yoga practices. Chris is co-founder and director of Kinda Yoga (www.kindayoga.com) with the vision to inspire the young generation to benefit from the joy of practicing Yoga. Chris has been teaching internationally on over thirty Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings over the past decade. He consults from clinics in Byron Bay and Sydney, Australia.

KATE ROURKE: Asana

Kate was a sports enthusiast throughout her school and university days and was first introduced to Yoga in Byron Bay, Australia. There she quickly realized the holistic benefits of a regular practice and thus began her journey into Yoga. She completed the Yoga arts Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training in Byron Bay, having the invaluable opportunity to study alongside internationally recognised senior teachers on a daily basis. Kate also spends time in India exploring diverse modalities and incorporates all she has learnt in her teaching. Kate is a dedicated Yogi committed to the unfolding process. She has spent the past 20 years studying, traveling and teaching. She is passionate about Yoga and inspiring others to live an active life following their dreams. Her love of surfing and the ocean sees her now relocating from Byron Bay to Bali to fulfill her dream of running a Wellness Centre by the sea.

ADOLF M. BROWN: Anatomy & Physiology

Dr. Brown brings 15 years of clinical Chiropractic experience and 25 years of healing and spiritual studies in Eastern, Western and Shamanic traditions to synthesize a unique and effective system of healing including; Holistic Chiropractic, Applied Kinesiology, Cranio Sacral, Nutrition, Functional Medicine and Energy Medicine. Adolf is a highly skilled and caring physician with a unique ability to tune into chronic health issues and resolve them by restoring the body’s innate ability to heal. In 1998, Dr. Brown founded Gaia Clinic, a multi-disciplinary, holistic healing center in Tucson, AZ, USA. He is now living in Bali, Indonesia, where he does nutritional and integrative medicine consulting online.

FLO FENTON: Yoga Therapy, Asana

Flo Fenton - Yogarts Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Holiday Retreats

Flo Fenton has been practicing yoga since 1991 and teaching since 1997. During several long pilgrimages to India, Flo studied various styles of yoga from different Masters. Flo studied yoga in Melbourne with Glenn Ceresoli in the early 90′s and in 1999 Flo completed the challenging Yoga Arts Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training. Flo has since continued her studies with experienced teachers such as; Dena Weisman (nee Kingsberg) Matthew Sweeney, Clive Sheridan and various other teachers through the Satyananda Yoga Academy.

Due to Flo’s own inherited spinal instability and unusual spinal curves, she has always had a keen interest in finding optimum ways of working to produce strong and pain-free backs and hips. Flo is a highly regarded remedial, deep-tissue and trigger-point therapy massage therapist of fifteen years standing. Her skills in massage therapy and her long relationship with yoga have produced a special understanding of spinal misalignment, related postural limitations, and how to work in yoga to promote optimum results. Flo is also a qualified homeopath.

Flo has produced beneficial results working with students within a wide range of health and fitness, from quadriplegics to athletes, chronic fatigue and M.S sufferers to eating disorder patients. Flo is currently registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest possible level of teaching experience, ERYT-500.

Louise Angele Plante - Yogarts Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Holiday Retreats

“I have traveled far and wide searching for what I now realize was my own inner worth – there’s no place like OM”.

Lou is an anatomy teacher by day and a yoga instructor by night. She has been working in the medical field for the past 15 years. In her teachings, she offers simple tools to help beginners and seasoned practitioners mesh the anatomy behind the asana … she describes this as “the ability to See”.

Lou is currently the coordinator, supervisor and instructor of the Ultrasound Program in Riyadh Military Hospital. She teaches anatomy and physiology, cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, medical terminology and scanning laboratory.

In addition to her medical background Lou has studied an Anatomy Teacher Training Intensive, in London, with Paul Grilley (USA), as well as, a Therapeutic Yoga Intensive Teacher Training with Susi Hately (Functional Synergy-Canada). Together these courses covered subjects in; body mechanics, limitations in moving the skeleton, Yin & Yang Asana – understanding connective tissue, body anatomy, joints, myofascia, muscle groups, how anatomic principles apply to yoga, anatomy of forward bends, back bends, twists & inversions, therapeutic yoga for the pelvis, SI joints, knees, shoulders & neck and yoga for cancer survivors.

Lou has also had the privilege of learning yoga from a variety of yoga teachers from across the globe. Her credentials come from various yoga schools, the latest being the Yoga Arts Level 2 YTT Accredited with Yoga Alliance for 500 hours. Lou’s passion for yoga and anatomy comes through in her teachings which have been described as; down-to-earth and inspirational. She uses a fun and logical approach which resonates with her students. She believes anatomy is easy when you put away the books and start to play …

Edo Kahn & Jo Mall are renowned Australian kirtan artists and singer-songwriters.
